The two of us were there recently for lunch on a day trip to the Harz Mountains. The atmosphere in the dining room is super cozy, we were served quickly, the food tasted very good and wasn't too expensive either. Gladly again!

Delicious food and a good hygiene concept plus friendly service allow a relaxed stop here. Highly recommended. The beer garden is very nice and the old house looks very charming with its original furnishings. Unfortunately, the open garbage containers in the parking lot disturb the good impression a bit.

Very tasty, nice ambience and great desserts offer! The game goulash was great and prices are fair.

Rustic cosiness. Delicious food and equally delicious, homemade cakes and tarts. Super nice, courteous service without being intrusive. Dog and baby: no problem. We like to come back regularly.

After a wonderful hike along the Upper Harz water shelf, we stopped at the Dammhaus. The weather was great and not much going on on a Tuesday outside of the holidays. The Dammhaus is located directly on the B 242 and has a beautiful beer garden. We also found vacancies straight away. Unfortunately we were ignored by the staff for about 20 minutes before drawing our attention. It wasn't that easy, because we were given a wide berth. At some point we were able to order and quickly realized that the shortage of skilled workers had also reached the catering industry. The three service staff seemed to be temporary workers, which you could tell from the receipt of the order and the service. An ice chocolate fell over at the next table. The food was a long time coming and then it was of average quality that was difficult to match the high prices. For beer lovers: there is Altenauer beer, a local specialty, and Schneider Weisse.

Outside area nicely designed. Service friendly and quick. The drinks and selection were good. The menu looks good, you are sure to find something there, we'll be back because then the cakes will be tried.

Service is really slow. Deserts were served before the main dish. The cakes are just homemade like grandma does, good, but nothing special. We had their special Forelle - pan fried fish, but again nothing special, all the species are in the skin, so if you don’t like fatty fried skin - you might be disappointed.

As we drove by, we noticed that it is open. We were hungry and returned. Beautiful beer garden with compliance with the corona distances! 👍 The menu is small but nice, the dishes are very tasty and nicely decorated.

This was a great place to have lunch in the midst of a mountain bike trail. The food was great and it was served hot and fast. The drinks were served cold. The bathroom could use some more regular cleaning though. Nice garden with lots of place in the shade. Highly recommended.

Don't drive past it, stop by! Even if it doesn't look like it from the street, a visit is definitely worth it! The beer garden behind the house is very inviting, and the food and service are excellent! There were four of us and we were completely satisfied!

Very nice outside area with rustic tables, partly covered. Fast and very friendly service. Different variations of coffee, homemade cakes. Cream puffs with ice cream and cherry was great. There is also food, but we didn't have it. Sufficient parking spaces available.

Never eaten so well in the Harz Mountains as here, prices in the usual range, large portions, great service and atmosphere. Good accessibility. Don't drive past! Please stop and stop! Really, it's worth it.

Nice cafe. The garden in particular is beautifully designed and you can take a good break on a hike. However, the noise of the street can be heard. The ice cream bowl with fresh strawberries was okay.

A great restaurant in the Hochharz with very tasty food. The portions are really big. You really get something for your money. There are also delicious homemade cakes. The team is super nice and you really feel comfortable there.
